Mike Larson in Singapore

We at Avenue 8 are very fortunate to have Mike Larson and his dearest wife Rachel here in this green garden city of Singapore. Mike is renowned in California, USA and was invited to give a talk at this year's WPPI tradeshow and convention in Las Vegas. We had the honor and privilege to meet up with him and Rachel after their wedding shoot for a great long chat.

We shared with each other our experiences in photography both locally and in the USA. I was exposed to how Mike marketed himself back home and managed to learn a lot from him. We went out around the hotel for a short shoot out with Mike explaining how he sees things and how to make the most of the environment to create stunning images.

It was a great experience for all of us and we are very thankful that despite shooting since early yesterday morning, Mike stayed up till 12mn sharing all his knowledge with us. We were very blessed to have Mike and Rachel being so open to share with us their experiences and I ask that God bless Mike and Rachel richly in their business and their family life, may they prosper and grow with You, always giving you all the Glory.

Once again a very big thank you to Mike and Rachel for spending their precious resting time sharing with us....

Congratulations Darryl & Dordia !!! Your wedding was just simply beautiful and very cheerful especially when Dordia starts her very infectious laughter... Here's a quick look at some photos from that day...

This was their wedding favour. It was hand made (all 340pieces) by Dordia's best friend Hannah who is a pastry chef at The Pattissier. I can still taste the chocolate cake in my mouth...mmmm.... yummy!!!!

The Avenue 8 Academy

The academy is a part of Avenue 8 that is currently undergoing a lot of planning and proper structuring to ensure that future students and course goers will get the best and only the best from us.

We have successfully implemented our Internship Training Program (ITP) and have produced excellent photographers like Kelvin J. Lim and Adrian Liaw. There are 2 upcoming and very outstanding photographers. Sherman Ho who will be our designated destination photographer and Wang Yixin our only lady photographer.

Apart from training photographers to be professionals, we are in the midst of confirming the details of the syllabus for basic, intermediate and advance photographers to have a 10 day course with both theory and hands on practice. These courses will equip you with sufficient knowledge to operate your digital compact or SLR camera efficiently and to its full value.

Harshan & Dananka

The Wedding of Harshan and Dananka was indeed a very colourful and vibrant one. The culture and traditions makes the day so unique. This wedding adds to my list of favourites.
